One Day...

Hello to the blogging world! So excited to post my very 1st blog! Whew, I'm kind of nervous, but so excited to start this adventure of Terry and I opening up our minds and hearts to anyone who decides to follow us :) We hope that by our posts we can inspire others by our thoughts or maybe just give you something to laugh or smile at (our lives are quite humorous), So lets get started....

Terry and I are currently living in an apartment and have been completely satisfied and thankful to God for providing us a nice place and just allowing us to rent while we get settled into marriage and work on budget, paying off school debt, etc. But here recently we both have definitely felt the urge and giddiness of wanting to go "house hunting". It doesn't help that we watch House Hunters on HGTV every night at 9:00 and long to be one of those couples looking for their "perfect" home. A couple times a week we drive by a HUGE quiet subdivision in Cave Springs that is absolutely gorgeous. Terry wanted to take a drive last week and go look at the homes and just see if their were any for sale (knowing in the back of our minds these houses are WAY out of our price range). So we loaded in the car and went for the drive, to our surprise there was 1 house for sale. Terry said "Oh, jump out and get one of those papers that tells the price" As I jump out and get the piece of paper, I look down and just laugh. As I'm getting in the car Terry was anxious to hear how much living in one of these luxurious castle homes would cost. To our surprise only 700,000! Terry replied "Well, maybe one day" followed by my response of laughter and "oh yea love, someday"
Later that night the Holy Spirit just started talking to me and God brought to mind, that indeed Terry was right, YES one day! One day we are going to live in a home with our heavenly father and it is going to have several rooms, and it is going to be greater and bigger, and better than any home Terry and I could ever look at here on Earth. At that moment I just closed my eyes and praised the God above for just all his promises, and most of all for reminding me that this is not my home. ONE DAY we will be called home with our heavenly father and that eternal home will be completely perfect :)

"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”        John 14:2-4
